The kilometre-long sandy beach is blessed with very shallow water and is thus ideal for children. There are no dangerous undercurrents or the notorious rip currents that characterise the west coast of Denmark. Explore the water’s edge – you’ll never get bored. Here you’ll find plenty of unique conches, shells and nice stones – a genuine paradise for adults and children alike. If you’re lucky, you may also find amber. Along the entire length of the beach between Sæby and Frederikshavn there are stonewalls that act as breakwaters, thus providing safety and security for young children. The beach promenade that runs to Sæby commences a short distance from the campsite.
